Experience

  1. Project Coordinator / Planner

    TI Group, Toronto

    • Sole point of contact between client agencies and the plant floor from brief through final invoice, and the escalation point when production issues arise, across 25+ active accounts.
    • Validate specifications from client and sales, author the job spec the quote is built on, and prepare the dockets, layouts and impositions each job runs against.
    • Review incoming artwork and raise discrepancies before they progress downstream, working with prepress to resolve them and reissuing proofs for approval, with printed samples where required.
    • Inspect proofs for colour and content accuracy before release to the client, resolving issues ahead of press by routing corrections through production, engaging the relevant parties and logging non-conformances.
    • Manage 10–20 concurrent jobs on one- to two-week turnarounds, sequencing proofing, press and finishing so competing deadlines are met and ship dates hold.
  2. Colour & Print Specialist

SGS & Co (Southern Graphic Systems)

    • Colour contact on 100+ global brand programs, working between account teams, production and print sites across regions and substrates.
    • Approved proofs against brand colour standards prior to plate imaging, identifying deviations upstream rather than at the factory.
    • Led calibration of the GMG workflow across North and South America: scoped the work, coordinated the regional teams and aligned output to a single standard.
    • Served as the technical colour resource for account teams, building and maintaining colour profiles and plate curves by substrate and print process.
    • Resolved colour issues from proof discrepancies through to deviations found on press.
  3. Lab Monitor

    Toronto Metropolitan University

    • Operated the Esko cutting table and Roland large-format printers for GCM program output, trained students across the equipment, and maintained 15+ pieces of lab equipment in service.
  4. Quality Assurance Intern

    Resource Label Group Canada

    • Proofread and QA-tested 1,000+ labels using Global Vision text comparison, COF testing and de-inking analysis.
    • Developed and implemented the QA colour standards applied to L’Oréal, Jamieson and Estée Lauder programs, improving consistency across production runs.
